Vihiga County Umoja Na Kazi
Led the development of Policies and bills at the department for consideration at the County Assembly. Steered the development of The Vihiga County. Climate Change Act 2019. Leading the inclusivity aspect of the community by ensuring that the documents go through Public Participation as provided for by the constitution. Guided the implementation processes and delegate functions to officers, decentralized units and other entities within the county in conjunction with the chief officer of the department. Managed and Coordinated the functions of the county within the department by ensuring that there was proper and effective coordination of departmental activities. Championed in budgeting and planning through allocation of resources as per the plans in The County Integrated Development Plan (CIDP) and Annual Development Plans (ADP). Supervised the administration and delivery of services by providing strategy, planning and directing process and procedure. Led and coordinated employment of about 200 market cleaners deployed in different markets in Vihiga County. Ensured the procurement of required tools and equipment to facilitate proper and effective garbage collection in the entire county.
